| The Harrison Township Fire Department protects 12,500 in 146 square miles. Harrison Township is responsible for fire and emergency medical services in Harrison, Madison, Walnut, Muhlenberg & Jackson Townships along with the Villages of Ashville & South Bloomfield. We operate out of 1 fire station and protect primarily a residential area. Our department is a combination of Full-Time paid and Part-Time paid employees. We staff our station with 7 Firefighter/EMT's. We have an ISO rating of 5 in the Villages of Ashville & South Bloomfield and a 9 in the Township areas. The Harrison Township Fire Department is governed by the Harrison Township Board of Trustees. |

| March 22, 2009 Hearing a lot of sirens the past couple of weeks? The Harrison Township fire trucks have been busy. Since March 4, we have been on 22 field/grass fires. We had to receive aid from neighboring fire departments 3 times and gave aid 4 times. Please remember that the grass and corn/bean fields are still very dry and wind conditions can change very rapidly in the Spring months. The Ohio EPA regulates open burning and has several rules/laws pertaining to such. Please view the link below.
