June 21, 1987             GRAIN MILL FIRE

Fifty-nine fire fighters from six departments battled this fire that started around 5:15 p.m. when a meter box was struck by
lightning during a lightning storm. Several fire fighters were treated for heat exhaustion. Three (3) were transported to the
hospital for injuries. Fire companies stayed on scene until 5:30 a.m. the next morning.
